Retinal Conditions Symptoms and Treatment
Your retina – the lining on the back of your eye – is like a screen where the image coming into your eye is focused and projected. The light sensitive cells of the retina code that incoming signal and send the image to your brain. Damage to any area of the retina, just like a rip in a movie screen can cause holes, distortions, or other inaccuracies in what you see. This may include the following conditions:
- Macular Degeneration
- Diabetic Retinopathy
- Lattice Degeneration
- Retinal Tear
- Detached Retina
- Macular Hole
These are just some of the many conditions that we treat at Eye Health MD. If you have one of these conditions, your optometrist can refer you to us for assessment for treatment.
